We are very pleased to be supporting local artist Anne Rowan’s concert in support of Ukrainian Refugees. The venue is the Nevis Centre at 7 pm on Saturday 14 May.
Fergus Grant, a Lochaber-raised Mòd Medallist will open the concert by singing the Ukrainian anthem, at the end of which John Whyte’s band will quietly begin to take up the tune.
Mountain guide Mick Tighe will compere the evening with artists such as Angus Grant, Lochaber Schools’ Pipe Band, singer Brian Hepburn, guitarist Jim Michie, singer Ann Martin from Skye, piper Angus Nicolson and the Glenfinnan Ceilidh Band.
Rotary President Simon Hardiman said; “I hope that people will support this excellent concert that Anne Rowan has organised and we are delighted to be able to help. Many will have seen the Rotary Shelter Box that we often have on display at the Lochaber Agricultural Show and we have donated one of these for Ukrainian refugees, as well as Rotarians making their personal donations to DEC.”
Tickets are £12 pounds, concessions £9 and children £8. They can be bought online at neviscentre.co.uk. Alternatively, paper tickets can be bought in The Highland Cinema, Fort William.
