Christmas Festival, Designer Craft and Food Fair coming soon!

We are in the final countdown stage for the Christmas Festival, Craft and Food Fair to be held at the Nevis Centre in Fort William on Saturday 25th November. Again the support of the Lochaber Times and Ferguson Transport & Shipping is much valued.

The Lochaber Times will partner the Lochaber Rotary Club in the competition to select the Little Elves to accompany Santa on his sleigh, pulled by the Cairngorm Reindeer, from Cameron Square to the Nevis Centre. Young folk are invited to write a short four-line story or poem that contains the words “Lochaber” and “greetings” then post it with their name, age, a parent or guardian’s contact phone number and their school name.  The envelope should be addressed to: Santa’s Helpers Competition, The Alexandra Hotel, Parade, Fort William, PH33 6AZ, to arrive not later than Friday 17 November.   All of the entries, including the winning two, will be displayed in the foyer of the Nevis Centre on the day of the Festival.

A wide range of crafts, food and produce will be available on the day such as jewellery, artwork, photography, calendars, knitting and crochet. The bouncy castle will be there and local bands and the Ben Nevis Allstars will be entertaining.

While we hoped to have a return of the Knitivity Tree, we have unfortunately had to postpone for this year – but, with the extra months to knit, we expect laden branches next year!

Certainly a date for the family diary!
