We are very sad to intimate that our friend and member Ian Nicol, who joined us in December 2018, passed away this morning, Thursday 12 October. We learned yesterday that he had experienced a stroke.
Father of Morven and father-in-law to Past President Simon, Ian won the respect and admiration of many members for the way he pressed on, with apparent good cheer, since losing his wife, Sheila, around two years ago.
Ian regaled us regularly with humorous tales of his time as a Navigator in the RAF, often using Scots to illustrate a point. A cantie chiel…
