We are very sad to intimate that our honorary member and Past -President, Angus Nicolson, passed away on 1st April 2024. Predeceased by Donalda, Angus was father to Alastair, Donnie and Catherine, so much family life centred on rugby and the childrens’ upbringing.
A long-time resident of Lochaber, Angus had Glasgow and Raasay connections. An enthusiastic Rotarian, Angus was President in 2010 -11.
President Flora McKee said, “We have missed his sense of fun in recent years since he retired to be an honorary member but every minute spent with Angus was worthwhile, whether for his pawky sense of humour or a pearl of wisdom thrown into the conversation.”
As well as extending our condolences to Alastair, Donnie, Catherine and the extended family, we send commiserations to his friends in Lochaber Rugby Club.
